Garage Conversion

This project transformed an underused garage space into a practical and comfortable extension of the home, incorporating a new utility area and study to enhance everyday living.

The works began with the formation of a new opening through the existing kitchen and the installation of internal steps to provide a seamless transition between spaces. The former garage door was removed and replaced with a UPVC window, while the rear door was blocked up and a new window installed to maximise natural light.

Internally, the space was fully reconfigured to create a functional utility and study area. New stud walls were constructed, fully insulated, plasterboarded and skimmed to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish. The existing slab was insulated and overlaid with new Wayroc flooring for improved comfort and energy efficiency.

Additional works included the installation of new LED downlights, sockets, skirting, architraves, and internal doors, as well as a fitted loft ladder and loft insulation for added practicality.

The result is a bright, efficient, and multi-purpose living space that blends seamlessly with the existing home - a perfect example of how thoughtful conversions can add both value and versatility.
