Single Storey Extension

We recently completed a full kitchen extension that transformed the space both structurally and visually.

The project began with the careful removal of the existing kitchen, followed by the installation of a temporary setup so the clients could continue using the space during the build. We extended the footprint of the kitchen by approximately 22 square metres, starting with new concrete strip foundations and a full sub-base prepared to work with the new underfloor heating.

Structural steel RSJs were installed and all works were carried out to meet current Building Control standards. Once the main structure was complete, we plasterboarded and plastered the new walls and ceilings, made good around the new beams, and fitted skirting to match the original finishes.

To finish the look, we installed a set of steps with integrated planters leading up to the new doors, all finished in sleek vitrified porcelain paving slabs for a modern, durable touch that ties the whole space together beautifully.

New windows and doors were fitted throughout the space and finally decorated leading to the end result of a bright, spacious kitchen extension that blends seamlessly with the existing home.
